
By Pass Rotameter
At high ranges of fluid in pipe lines between 2'" and higher and up to 300 mm NB, use a by-pass rotameter. where rotameter cannot be used on a line. One orifice plate is included, and it is fixed in the pipe between two flanges. There is one additional integrated orifice with two inlet and output ports and one bypass Rotameter available to measure direct flow. The flow metre of the Inference kind is the By-Pass Rotameter. A main line orifice plate is used to generate differential pressure (DP). Branch pipes are placed across the upstream and downstream sides of the orifice plate, and fluid flows through them as a result of the differential pressure. The by-pass line has a second range orifice plate since the flow through it will be proportional to the flow through the main line.
